Rotary Club Of Golaghat inaugurated its second Adult Literacy Centre with the inmates of District Jail Golaghat on 9th December, 2025. Regular classes were conducted as per their stipulated time table by an appointed Sikha Mitra Sri Gopal Saikia (Jail inmates). Rtn Dr Minuara Begum, Past President, Rotary Club of Golaghat visited the jail and took class on 27 January, 2026 following the protocols of the jail. They were taught reading & writing in Assamese and able to compose words with two alphabet.
