Meeting on Human Trafficking & Witch Hunting
An Awareness Meeting on Human Trafficking & With Hunting was organized by East Block of ICDS Project, Golaghat, under Office of the Child Development Project, Govt. of Assam on 28/07/2025 at Furkating. Rtn Dr Minuara Begum was invited as a Resource Person on the topic of Human Trafficking & Witch Hunting. The meeting was attended by ICDS Project Officer, Officer of District Legal Service Agency, Co ordinator of One Stop Centre ( NGO), Gaon Pradhan, President of Furkating Galn Pachayat and Anganwari workers of East ICDS Project. Rtn Dr M Begum, Editor of "Uprooting Witchcraft" the first book published on Witch hunting, 2015 & a member of Mission Birubala, Assam highlighted the history, sociocultural, economic, ethnic culture, superstition etc of both human trafficking and witchcraft. R C Golaghat served the society by its own human resources when various Govt. Departments seeks help from the Rotarians.
