Adult Literacy 19th March, 2026 Rotary Club Of Golaghat runned the Adult Literacy Centre with the inmates of District Jail Golaghat for the RY 2025-26. Regular classes were conducted as per their stipulated timetable by an appointed Sikha Mitra Sri Gopal Saikia (Jail inmates). On behalf of the club Rtn Dr Minuara Begum, Past President visited the jail and took one class on 19th March, 2026 following the protocols of the jail. There were 28 registered inmates and they were taught reading and writing in Assamese so that they can configure the words. It was noticed that they have gradually builds self confidence and mental satisfaction. Writing materials consisting of note books, pencils, erasers and sharpeners were provided to them.
