Rotary Club of Golaghat started a Plantation Drive on the occasion of Van Mahotsav-2025 at District Jail Golaghat campus on 5th July, 2025. Different varieties of 50 numbers of Fruit bearing plant such as Jackfruit, Amla, Mulberry, Olive were planted. The tree plantation program were attended by Jail Superintendent, Jailer and few jail inmates, Mr Devanga Bhushan Das, Ranger, Mr Shasanka Saikia and Mr Jehiruddin Ahmed Forester 1 of Social Forestry, Golaghat, Assam along with President, RC Golaghat and five other Rotarians. This was the first tree plantation drive conducted by the club aligned with the focus area of Protecting the environment of Rotary International.
